Media Consumption

Newspapers
  • Which daily newspapers (if any) do you read? I watch the news in the gym during treadmill and on the twitter page, other then that I don't read or watch news.
  • What sections of newspapers do you turn to first, and why? I don't read news.
  • What sections do you never read, and why? I don't read news but if I would I'd never read sports news.
  • What kinds of stories do you usually read and why? Current news happening in the world + weather.
  • Do you, or someone else, buy the newspaper you read? I don't buy newspapers.
  • Do you look at the online versions of any newspapers? Which newspapers? Why do you visit their website and not others? I look at BBC news because they give the most interesting up-to-date news. Other than that I don't watch news.

Magazines

  • What magazines (if any) do you buy regularly?  Why - I don't buy magazines
  • What sections of the magazines do you read and not read, and why? I don't read magazines.

Television
  • Approximately how many hours a week do you spend watching television? Very little
  • What times of day do you usually watch television? Evening
  • What programmes do you like best and why? If I would watch TV, I would prefer to watch sky movies as they show the top 21st century movies.
  • Do you watch alone or with others? If you watch with others, who decides what you will watch? I would most likely watch alone.
  • Do you watch 'live' TV or on-demand/catch-up? Do you use any other devices to watch TV (such as laptop of tablet?) I watch TV live and on my phone I would watch TwitchTV.

Radio

  • Do you listen to the radio? Yes. Online or in a car.
  • If yes, what stations do you like best and why? I don't know the name of stations other than KissFM for music.
  • Approximately how many hours a week do you spend listening to the radio? 4 hours or so.
  • What times of the day do you usually listen to the radio? Evening.
  • Where do you listen to the radio? Online or in a car.
  • What other activities (if any) do you do whilst listening to the radio? I simply go on my phone.

Cinema

  • What films have you seen in the cinema in the last month? Sinister 2, The Visit, Maze Runner 2 Scorch Trials and The Gift.
  • What films have you seen in other places – for example, through rental, satellite film channels (free or otherwise) or through video-on-demand? I tend to watch other films on Netflix or rarely on satellite film channels. This month I have seen none other than cinema.
  • Who else watched the films with you? My friends.
  • Who decided what films to watch? Group decision with my friends.
  • What devices do you typically use to watch films: TV, laptop, tablet, phone etc.? Primarily laptop or phone.

Online

  • How often do you access the internet? Every second.
  • Where do you access the internet?  At home, at college or school, or at work? Everywhere.
  • What are the main sites that you access? Primarily Youtube, obviously Google and Amazon
  • What are the main reasons for accessing these sites – for example, for information, to make purchases, communicate with friends or for entertainment? Amazon to make purchases, google for information and Youtube for entertainment.
  • What other activities (if any) do you do whilst accessing the internet? Nothing much other than eat.
  • What different devices do you use to access the internet? What is your primary device for accessing the internet? The primary device I use to access the internet is my phone. Other then that I would use my laptop.
  • What social networks do you use regularly (e.g. Twitter, Instagram)? Why do you belong to these networks in particular? Instagram. If you consider Snapchat to be one then Snapchat.

Plan of Action:
Looking at these answers, my plan of action would be to buy more magazines, watch more TV on an actual TV and read more newspapers physically. At least one magazine and one newspaper a week + 7 hours of TV.
